The last race of the 15th Annual Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut Regatta is over. Thanks to everyone who participated, volunteered and donated to the regatta, Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut received $34,500 in donations. THANK YOU! WE COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT YOU!

Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut is the only Medicare Certified Hospice and the only hospice program offering all of the components required by the National Hospice and Pallative Care Organization throughout New London County. They have been providing care to residents of southeastern Connecticut since 1985. Care is primarily provided in the home, but when this is not possible, Hospice staff continue to follow the patient in local facilities.

Connecticut Regatta Long Island Sound 2002 The Hospice Regatta is in its 13th year and is the largest one-design sailing event in Connecticut with more than 300 boats and 1,000 participants each year. This event has raised over $475,000 to support terminally ill patients and their families throughout New London County. Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut is the only Medicare Certified Hospice and the only hospice program offering all of the components required by the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization throughout New London County. We have been providing care to residents of southeastern Connecticut since 1985. Care is primarily provided in the home, but when this is not possible, Hospice staff continue to follow the patient in local facilities.

Regatta Results NIANTIC: Over 64 Boats joined to raise funds this past weekend in support of Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut at the 13th Annual Hospice Regatta. Over $30,000 is expected to be raised. This past year, Hospice of Southeastern Connecticut has served close to 400 patients and their families. "We continue to be a respected member of the health care community with an unyielding commitment to delivering quality end-of-life care to the residents of Southeastern Connecticut. The support we receive from the sailing community in our efforts to raise funds and increase awareness of hospice care is incredible", stated Pat Morgan, director of development. Third Place PHRF winner, Peter Spano shared that he sailed in memory of his son who was fortunate to have hospice care ten years ago at the end of his life. " This is all about Hospice. I prayed for a third place finish and I got it. I wanted to do this for my son". Event Chair, Nancy Healy praised the efforts of all of the volunteers,
sailors and sponsors. This year's Regatta committee included: Nancy
Healy, Admiral Dan Danielson (RET),Matt Dowd, Bob Geary, Peter Guille,
Lee Highmore, Gerry Keeler, David Kelly, John Lanza and Dick Roberts.
