Peter Doyle
and Pat Whelan are representing the Niagara Hospice Regatta.They
have sailed together on Pat's J-22 Frosty for the
past 7 years. Both sail out of the Youngstown Yacht Club, of which
Pat is a Past Commodore. Pat is also a Chairman of the Niagara Hospice
Regatta.
Over the years Pat and Peter have won the YYC
Level Regatta in the J-22 and The Lake George J-22 Regatta. They have
raced on Lake Ontario for the past 25 years and are proud to represent
YYC in Ft. Lauderdale.
Other crew members
include: Amy Reynolds, Pat's Daughter, who also sails on the Frosty.
Amy has been racing competitively for the last 15 years; starting
with the YYC Jr. Sailing Racing Team and continuing through college
on the Michigan State Sailing Team. Chris Doyle, the owner of the
winning boat elmo, is joining the Frosty crew in Ft. Lauderdale
as well. Chris has campaigned his J-22 for the past 9 years with
great success.
Tom Hall
rounds out the crew. He sails catamarans, but prefers the maneuverability
and comfort of a Tarten Ten, where he was on the 3rd place crew
for the 2000 NA's.
