Chuck Eaton and his team will represent the VNA/Hospice Regatta
on San Francisco Bay, which this year will be held May 25-26. The
regatta benefits VNA
& Hospice of Northern California.
Chuck learned to sail about 1971, starting with Sunfish. He proceeded
to race in Mississippi and Texas while in the Air Force in the 1970s.
During that time, he also enjoyed racing Rhodes 19s at the Fort
Worth Boat Club, got some offshore experience (TORC and SORC), and
started
racing Lasers
While at Stanford University graduate school, he continued with
Lasers, finishing in the top ten at national and North American
regattas in the late 1970s. Then came a period of serious board
sailing. Flash forward to 1999: bought a J/105 and returned to "sit-down"
sailing. He has now
raced two seasons with Jitterbug.
