..NATIONAL HOSPICE REGATTA CHAMPIONSHIP 2004

Schedule and Information for Reserving Passes for Spectator Boats and Social Events

Each sailing team automatically receives 5 social passes for both the Friday and Saturday parties. Boat owners or their representatives also receive invitations.

The public and other non-racing guests are invited to view the races from spectator boats, and attend the social activities, by advance reservation.

Anyone may reserve additional One-use Passes or a special All-Weekend Pass. See attached form for reserving these passes.

Deadline for Reservations WEDNESDAY April 7

THURSDAY April 15 - Business Meeting
10 am to 4 pm, lunch provided at cost, location Chart House Restaurant,
300 Second Street (Eastport).

FRIDAY April 16 - Registration, Racing, & Hospice Cup XXIII Welcome Party
8:00-9:30 Racers’ Registration
9:30 Competitors’ Meeting
10:55 Practice Starts (optional)
11:00 Spectators report to Mears Marina Pavilion
12:30 Race 1 Warning signal; more races to follow
4:30 Spectator boat(s) return (approximate)
6:00-8:30 Hospice Cup XXIII Welcome Party at Mears Marina Pavilion
-- the local regatta welcomes everyone to its home town

SATURDAY April 17 - Racing & Champions Reception
9:30 Spectators report to Mears Marina Pavilion
10:00 Racers rendezvous near Severn River buoy R”2”
10:55 First Warning signal; more races to follow
4:30 Spectator boat(s) return (approximate)
6:30-9:30 Champions Reception at private home in Annapolis

SUNDAY April 18 - Racing & Awards Presentations
0930 Spectators report to Mears Marina Pavilion
1000 Racers rendezvous near Severn River buoy R”2”
1055 First Warning signal; more races to follow
(No Warning signal will be made later than 1400 hours)
1430 Spectator boat(s) return
1530 Championship Awards Presentation at Mears Marina Pavilion

Reservations are accepted based on space available. Early reservations allow us to plan to accommodate everyone. Late reservations cannot be guaranteed.

HOW TO ORDER

Use the order form to make reservations by Wednesday, April 7.

To help us plan, you may place an advance hold with Linda Ambrose by email. In email message, please list names of guests. You will receive an email confirmation and passes will be prepared pending payment.

Out-of-towners please notify Linda Ambrose of any changes in your plans!

Reserved passes may be picked up at Race Headquarters at Mears Marina, on Friday April 16 until 11:00 a.m. Additional passes (if available) may be purchased at that time. Passes may also be picked up at the entrance to the Friday and Saturday socials.

Final payment for reserved passes and additional passes (if available) may be made at the time of pickup.

EVENT LOCATIONS

Unless otherwise instructed, spectators should report to Mears Marina. Directions to events are posted on the web site http://www.hospiceregattas.org.

Any changes to schedule or locations will be communicated as soon as known, as well as announced at the April 15 Business Meeting, and posted on April 16-18 at Race Headquarters, Mears Marina.
