Virginia - The Turkey Shoot -- A Hospice Regatta

Competing Skipper 2001 -- Wayland W. Rennie

Sailing Experience:

Cruising all over the Caribbean from Bahamas to Guatamala, eastern Mediterranean from Turkey to Egypt, Florida to Maine.

Racing Experience:

Early sailing 1952-1955 on Lake Mendota in Madison, Wisconsin in international one-designs, aboard C-Scows. Built and rebuilt several dinghies from scratch.

1964-Present - Fishing Bay Yacht Club, Deltaville, Virginia.

1964-1968 - MORC racing on Soverel 28 on Chesapeake.

1968 to Present CCA and PHRF club racing on Chesapeake, skipper of Irwin 38. Raced 20+ Annapolis to Hampton races, ranging from overall winner to dead last. Raced successfully in numerous point to point races including Annapolis to Newport, Norfolk to Bermuda, etc.

Raced around the buoys with average results for 35 years and pray for light air! 1998 and 2000 Overall winner at The Turkey Shoot -- A Hospice Regatta at Yankee Point Yacht Club. Both races were in extremely light air.
