Competing Skipper 2001 -- Steve Phillips Steve
Phillips, representing the Hospice Regatta of Rhode Island, entered
the sport about six years ago with a J/105, racing in Annapolis,
Maryland. Annapolis has a very large J/105 fleet, with over twenty
starters for almost every race during the summer season on the Chesapeake
Bay.
In 2000, he added a Concordia 47
to his life, which he raced in the Newport, Rhode Island area, earning
his berth in this year's hospice regatta championship.
