Chairman's letter #2 - February 17, 2010

1. The National Hospice Regatta Alliance is pleased to announce the Notice of Race is posted on the event web site. The link is also posted for entry information and payment.

2. The event web site is www.hospiceregattas.org

3. The entry deadline is May 1, 2010, the fee is $500. Skipper and 3 crew maximum, no weight limits. The fee includes all of the social activities listed in NOR 6.

4. Part of the Championship tradition is for each team to bring a raffle item to be auctioned off at the Saturday night dinner. Items should be representative of your local region and should carry a value of $100-$200, or more. Please be prepared to help auction off your item, with witty commentary and descriptive text of the item to be sold. Julie Blakley is coordinator. Please contact Julie: jblakley@rochester.rr.com

5. We also create an event program book, ads are available for sale. The sailing instructions are in this booklet, so everyone will see your ad.

Chairman’s letter # 1 – January 22 2010

1. Congratulations to all 2009 local hospice regatta winning skippers and welcome to the 2010 Hospice Regattas National Championship. Rochester Yacht Club is proud to host this event again in 2010 with the National Hospice Regatta Alliance.

2. The event web site is www.hospiceregattas.org

3. A schedule of events is posted there now and the Notice of Race will be posted by February 10th.

4. The entry deadline is May 1, 2010, the fee is $500. Skipper and 3 crew maximum, no weight limits.

5. The regatta chairs are John and Lauren Doyle and Hank and Mary Stuart

6. We have 12 new Sonars with 12 new sets of sails for the event.
