WHY SUPPORT HOSPICE?

Hospice touches an entire community

Hospice helps terminally ill patients --and parents, spouses, children, neighbors, employers, and all their friends -- manage the prospect of death.

Hospice is teamwork in the community and the home

Teams of medical professionals and trained volunteers work with patients and their families to provide hospice care in their homes or home-like settings.

Hospice generates loyalty

Family and friends touched by Hospice remember the people and organizations that helped them through the difficult time. They become loyal proponents of Hospice and of those who support it.

Hospice is non-profit and available to everyone

Hospice services are provided without regard to ability to pay. Charitable contributions support services not covered by insurance or other means.

WHAT IS THE NATIONAL HOSPICE REGATTA ALLIANCE?

The Alliance is a national 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to raise awareness of Hospice care through charity sailboat regattas -- helping and promoting local hospice regattas, providing a communications network among them, and by hosting a national championship event that publicizes them and Hospice care.

Our members are the growing number of hospice regattas nationwide that raise both money and awareness for Hospice care, benefiting over 35 hospices in their communities.

The annual Hospice Regattas National Championship is hosted by the national Alliance to further promote the local regattas and Hospice care.

WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP

The Alliance’s work is supported by our all-volunteer Board of Directors and committees, and by sponsorships. Willing hands, money and in-kind contributions all help us fulfill our mission. To learn more:

The Alliance’s work is supported by direct and indirect contributions, for operating and championship expenses. Sponsor money, in-kind contributions and discounts all help.

Underwriting all or part of the Championship will help the NHRA to build more national awareness of hospice care, and support the local regattas.
