Hospice of the North Shore’s 18th Annual HNS Auction and Regatta June 17, 2012

Diane Stringer and Ken-Knowles painter of Summer Sky

Now in its 18th year, the Annual Auction and Regatta to benefit Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston has become one of the most anticipated events of the season. Hosted by the Eastern Yacht Club in Marblehead, this year’s events are scheduled to start on Friday, June 15th with our dinner and live auction led by award-winning auctioneer, Paul Zekos. The live auction will feature an exciting array of impressive travel excursions, sports items and VIP experiences.

The weekend of events continues on Sunday, June 17th with the Regatta, and ending with Family Barbecue and award ceremony that evening.

We are proud to announce that this year’s signature artwork is by Rockport artist Ken Knowles. The original artwork entitled Summer Sky will be auctioned during the live auction. This light-hearted, traditional landscape depicts the beautiful New England coast with a couple walking their dog on the beach and schooners sailing in the background ~ all beneath a canopy of billowing clouds and sunshine. The painting will be on display at the Arnould Gallery and Framery in Marblehead in the weeks prior to the auction and giclee prints and note cards of it will be sold locally and at Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston offices.

Proceeds support the Hospice of the North Shore & Greater Boston mission to provide comprehensive and compassionate support for children and adults with life-limiting illness, death and loss. There are many ways for you to participate through event sponsorship of the dinner and auction or the race, the online auction or the major trip raffle. Please contact Susan Rogers at 978-750-9357 for more information.
