Hospice enables patients to carry on alert, pain-controlled lives so their last days may be spent in comfort, at home or in home-like settings. Hospice care concentrates on care, not cure. Bereavement counseling and support groups are part of hospice services after the loss of a loved one.

Not a Sailor? We want YOU!

The Hospice Cup sailing regatta race is all about having fun. We love that we have attracted a balance of serious racers and casual sailors each year. Our special Hospice Class provides a unique opportunity for less serious sailors to relax on the Bay while supporting a great event and sometimes, host hospice caregivers on board to honor the work they do. The course is set up in a separate starting area. A non-spinnaker class, this is the perfect race to get a feel for sailing competition.  Hospice Class racers are given additional instruction by Shearwater Sailing Club members and compete against boats in a circular race course.
